High Altitude Mountain Workers Welfare Association (HAMWWA)

High Altitude Mountain Workers Welfare Association (HAMWWA) and Nepal Red Cross Society jointly organize 3 days special First Aid Training course for High Altitude Mountain workers.
Including 18 Everest summiteers total 34 Altitude workers participate in training. Training was held in Hotel Country Villa Nagarkot, Bhaktapur from 5 July - 7 July 2010.

This training was specially design for Altitude workers. Course include about First Aid treatment, Altitude sickness, snow bite, snow blind, facture and emergency evacuation. All participators were fully satisfied and gain good knowledge about first-aid service.

HAMWWA organize blood donation program on 7 July, morning 8 am in training hall. Including 17 Everest summiteers and 5 hotel country villa staff’s total 22 training participators donate blood to Nepal Red Cross Society.

This is the one of BIG record that at one time this much Everest summiteers donate their blood.

During the closing period Mr. Manoj Kumar Thapa, Chairman of Nepal Red Cross Society, Bhaktapur chapter distribute training certificates to all participators and Mr. Da Gelje Sherpa, president of HAMWWA distribute blood donation certificates to all blood donors.
During closing sesson Chairperson Mr. Manoj Kumar Thapa, express his greetings and thanks for all training participates. He said that the training give good knowledge about first-aid treatment in any injury during climbing. He wishes to work jointly with HAMWWA in future for further trainings.
Mr. Tshering Tenzing Sherpa training participator gives feedback speech about the training. He said the training was very fruitful and it’s most important for altitude workers. He was very satisfied with trainers and their teaching skills.
HAMWWA President Da Gelje Sherpa also gives thanking remarks for all trainers and trainees. He also thank for all blood donors.
Mr. Dinesh Thapa was training co-coordinator and head trainer of this Training course.
Mr. Krishna Gopal Lageju, Shiva Shanker Shrestha, Sushil Raj Regmi, Shiva Hari KC, Shiva Hari Lamichhane were involved as trainer in training.
